About
The Padel Den is a vibrant new sporting destination that officially opened in mid-2025 with the launch of two state-of-the-art padel courts at Elworth Cricket Club in Sandbach, Cheshire. The project was born from the vision of three cricket-loving friends who wanted to introduce their town to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Their goal was simple yet ambitious: to create a welcoming, accessible, and community-driven hub where people of all ages and abilities could enjoy padel in a fun and social setting.
What makes The Padel Den stand out is its commitment to inclusivity and convenience. The venue provides floodlit courts, ensuring that games can continue into the evening and throughout the year, no matter the season. Equipment is included for players who are new to the sport or just trying it out, removing barriers for those who want to give padel a go without the need to invest in rackets or balls upfront. Bookings and social interaction are made effortless through an integrated app that not only streamlines scheduling but also connects players within a growing local padel community.
Strong links with local businesses and organisations have been central to The Padel Den’s early success. Backed by community support, the club quickly established itself as more than just a set of courts—it has become a social hub. The launch of its first “Summer Session” tournament demonstrated the appetite for competitive yet friendly play in Sandbach, bringing together beginners, families, seasoned racket-sport players, and curious newcomers in a festival-like atmosphere.
The Padel Den’s ethos is rooted in making sport accessible and enjoyable. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time, looking for a new family activity, or seeking competitive matchplay in a welcoming environment, the club provides the perfect setting. By blending modern facilities with a strong community spirit and a forward-thinking vision, The Padel Den has quickly become a landmark for social sport in Cheshire and a catalyst for padel’s growth in the region.
