What's new on TrustPadel
Every release, in the order it shipped. We keep this page current so anyone can see what changed and when.
21 September 2026
v3.20260921The map rebuilt on a faster engine, a new home for businesses, and every padel nation in one place
What's new
- The venue map has been rebuilt on a faster, smoother engine. Pins appear instantly as you pan and zoom, cluster into counts when zoomed out, and show rating bubbles, prices and court counts right on the map. "Near me" jumps straight to your area — and community and group maps now run on the same engine.
- A new For business hub: dedicated pages for venues, coaches, retailers, content creators, jobs, brands and industry — plus sponsorship, corporate and private events, principal partners and the partner network. Each explains what TrustPadel does for that audience and how to get involved.
- New feature pages for travel, ambassadors and events, including an "add your event" call to action for organisers.
- Every padel nation in one place: Top padel countries now lists all 161 countries we cover, ranked by live venue count — and both "Top countries" and "Top cities" are now linked from the Find menu.
- Venue pages can now show the food and drink brands available at a club, alongside its facilities.
- Retailer claims now capture a contact phone number as well as an email, so shops can be reached faster.
- A new gift-voucher facility page.
Improved
- Country pages are consistent: venue counts now match everywhere on the site, and Spain's country page paginates correctly.
- Community pages show the group's location and the year it was founded.
- The /invest page is rebuilt as a full investment overview — the eligibility form is unchanged.
- Venue data is cleaner: imports map opening status, country and booking systems more reliably, and non-Latin venue names now produce tidy, readable URLs.
- SEO tidy-up: fixed Google structured-data errors across datasets, events and jobs, removed soft-duplicate location pages, and added redirects for legacy localised URLs.
Fixed
- The map could render blank on some devices — fixed, along with missing pins, popup styling and card clipping on the venue rail.
- New accounts now complete a short one-time step to set date of birth and country, so profiles (and age-appropriate content) are correct from the start.
- Editing a brand or retailer in the admin directory no longer errors when saving a status the database doesn't allow.
- Admin: creating an event no longer fails on blank optional fields, and a coach's club links can now be removed directly.
- Follow and contact on shop pages work again.
8 September 2026
v3.20260908Local weather on every club and city page, clickable links in communities, and a far simpler way to host a game
What's new
- Club, city and county pages now show the local weather — current conditions plus a five-day outlook, refreshed every half hour. Handy when you're choosing between the outdoor and indoor courts.
- Links shared in community posts and comments are now proper clickable links that open in a new tab — no more copy-pasting URLs into your browser.
- Attach files to community posts: the composer has a new File option alongside Poll, Image and Video — pick anything already uploaded to the community's Files tab and it shows up as a proper file card on the post.
- Ask questions anonymously: a new switch on the community question form hides your name from the community team (they'll still answer publicly as usual).
- Community admins can now see outstanding invitations right under the member list and resend them with one click — for when someone swears the invite never arrived.
- The mobile menu has been rebuilt — full-screen, smoother to open and close, and the page no longer jumps around behind it on iPhone.
Improved
- Hosting a game is simpler end to end: padel comes pre-selected, the venue field is now a real search across every venue, "Open Spots" spells out how many players you're looking for, and you can set a skill range in the rating system you actually use — Crest, Playtomic, MATCHi, Nettla, Padel Mates, or your club's own scale.
- Every open game in one place: games hosted through "Host a game" now appear in the Find-a-game search too — nothing gets lost between the two pages.
- The daily community digest is readable again: it now shows your three busiest communities and bundles the rest into "and N more" instead of a screen-long list.
- Pages update more reliably after we ship changes — no more being stuck on a stale version of the site until you force-refresh.
- Signed-in browsing is noticeably faster: pages full of venue cards (homepage, search results, city pages) now fetch your favourites and memberships in a single request instead of one per card.
Fixed
- The discipline picker when hosting a game was coming up empty — it now correctly shows Padel Doubles and Padel Singles.
- Venue cards without a photo always show their branded placeholder image again (a crash in the image generator could leave them blank).
- The Follow button on shop pages works again — every tap was failing with a server error.
- Editing a brand from the admin directory no longer lands on an error page.
4 September 2026
v3.20260904Facility chips that read (and click) properly, plus a cleaner admin directory
What's new
- The "More at this venue" chips on venue pages are now proper links — each one takes you to the filter page listing every venue with that feature, and they always show the friendly name (no more raw slugs).
- The venue editor's Facilities & Programmes picker now writes the same facility names the filter pages look for, and keeps the matching toggles (covered courts, floodlights, members-only and friends) in sync — so ticking a chip means your club actually appears on that filter page.
Fixed
- Some venues showed raw feature codes (like "padel-venues-with-a-pro-shop-on-premises") as plain text chips instead of readable, clickable features — a picker was saving the wrong form of the name.
1 September 2026
v3.20260901Every place name spelled properly, the first TrustPadel Open, and a full audit trail behind every listing
What's new
- The TrustPadel Open at Brentwood Padel Club is live and marked sold out — Americano singles format, with GKR Scaffolding and Simplesourcing as main sponsors and Quantum Padel as official ball sponsor, all on the event page.
- Quantum Padel joins the brand directory — full profile with logo, product gallery and story, freshly published.
- Every admin record now shows when it was posted, when it was last updated, and a complete change history (who did what, when) — across venues, retailers, coaches, academies, events, communities, tournaments, leagues, competitions, brands, articles and matches.
- Four more shops show their real logos in the shops directory: Bullpadel, SX Padel, Padel Point and Everything Padel.
Fixed
- City names with accents now come through properly everywhere — Córdoba, Bogotá, Asunción, Málaga and 13,000+ others. A slug-building bug was silently deleting accented letters from city URLs; every affected link now points at the correctly-spelled page, and old links redirect automatically.
- Padel capitals page: every card was linking to a broken URL (country names instead of country codes in the path). All cards now click through to the right capital city page.
- The September event can also be reached at /trustpadel-open-september-2026 — it redirects to the canonical event page.
- The investor gateway's FCA register check now correctly recognises authorised firms (it was reading a field that never carries the authorisation status — every applicant would have failed).
31 August 2026
v3.20260831Leave a game, your bookings in one place, and a big speed + accessibility pass
What's new
- Changed your mind? You can now leave a game you joined — a two-tap "Can't make it? Leave" on the game page frees your spot.
- Your account page now shows your upcoming games (venue, time, spots) — the "View my bookings" link finally lands somewhere real, and new signups get a proper welcome with three first moves.
- Notifications reach mobile: the bell now lives in the mobile bar for signed-in players, and joining a community or accepting a squad invite confirms with a toast instead of silence.
- Contact page has direct lines now: a phone number and a WhatsApp Business line alongside the form.
- Everything got measurably faster: venue pages load in parallel instead of one-query-at-a-time, directory pages share single-pass counts instead of thousands of rows per render, and the heaviest widgets (search palette, quick view, session replay) no longer slow down every page load.
Accessibility & polish
- Log a match is now fully usable by keyboard and screen reader: every field labelled, venue/player pickers get proper arrow-key support, and form errors scroll into view on mobile.
- Sitewide landmarks and focus behaviour: proper header/nav landmarks, a main region on search and manage pages, focus trapped correctly in every modal, and focus returns to the right place when menus and dialogs close.
- Contrast fixes across the board — success badges, share buttons and small text now all pass WCAG AA at badge sizes.
- A consistent "Crest" name everywhere (no more "rating" vs "Crest" drift), and UK date formatting throughout.
30 August 2026
v3.20260830Security hardening and the rating engine unblocked
Fixed
- The rating engine is processing again: a match with a guest player was jamming the queue (guest players have no account to rate against), so every tick failed for two days. Guests now count as unrated opponents — exactly the "counts for less" behaviour — and the backlog has cleared.
- Logging a match now confirms it properly — you land on the match page with a clear "Match logged" message and what happens next, instead of an unexplained pending screen.
- Patch-level security updates across the platform framework and image pipeline.
- Two dead links fixed: the RFQ sign-up link and the adult-ages table linked from the privacy policy (both now resolve to real pages).
- The match-log form holds up properly on small screens: 15-minute time slots, game duration, and no more third-set crash.
28 August 2026
v3.20260828Match logging rebuilt, academies arrive, and the whole directory gets an upgrade
What's new
- Log a match, rebuilt from the spec: singles and doubles, set-by-set scoring with live padel validation, 10-point match tiebreaks, retired/walkover outcomes, guest players (reduced rating weight), venue + court pickers, match metadata, and visibility controls. Every match gets a detail page, and tagged opponents get notified to confirm or dispute within 48 hours.
- Academies are live: a full directory of padel academies with programmes, team, venues, badges and search — plus profile pages for each academy.
- Every country is now a first-class page: the country directory shows all 148 countries with venues (was 34), each with flag-only cards and its own detail page, plus a top padel countries page.
- Directory search + pagination everywhere: coaches, creators, groups, capitals, academies, tournaments, leagues and jobs all get instant search and tidy paging; all 12 facility groups get it server-side too.
- Venue pages can now show multiple booking links — a primary "Book" plus alternates, managed by the venue.
- More venue facts: floodlight cost per hour, club logos on cards and map popups, and junior-friendly facets (junior programme, age groups, safeguarding, DBS policy) you can filter and search by.
- Communities get better invites: invite a registered player and they get a bell, push and email; the invite link is one tap to copy. Community search now paginates and finds the obvious match first.
- New pages: padel capitals (every national capital with courts, live counts) and top padel cities; estates & enclaves landing pages; ten new academy guides including three cornerstones and seven competition formats.
- Coach and provider registration rebuilt to spec: multi-select types, AI "Generate my bio", languages, qualifications, services grid, and full social links.
- A wave of imports: 23 industry organisations, 37 operator groups, 9 booking systems, 21 university societies (now live as communities), and 91 more coaches with club links.
Fixed
- Claimed venues no longer show as "Unclaimed" — a missing database link hid every owner; owners now display correctly.
- Venue statuses made honest: an 8-state taxonomy (including permanently closed), with closed venues excluded from search but pages kept live for SEO.
- Pricing displays correctly everywhere: every price to two decimals, with the four real values (member and pay-and-play, peak and off-peak) shown distinctly.
- Community subscribe no longer 404s for signed-out visitors, and the /community short link now lands on the communities directory.
- Pro events list only shows current and upcoming events (stale ones filtered out).
- Maps moved to a faster tile provider, and "My communities" joined the account dropdown.
26 August 2026
v3.20260826A proper products directory, a smoother investor journey, and communities you can actually search
What's new
- Products directory rebuilt: clean retail cards (image, brand and category chips, from-price, compare-shops) with proper attribution on every outbound link.
- The investor enquiry is now a guided multi-step wizard with per-step validation and progress, replacing the single long form.
- Communities directory gets a search box (name, description, city, country), a "My communities" toggle, and better discovery throughout.
- New automated feeds for social channels: new venues, weekly question, upcoming events and daily venue spotlights.
- Admin gets a sortable "Last updated" column across listing pages, and brands now show Claimed vs Unclaimed vs Verified at a glance.
Fixed
- Coach imports made robust: the June batch (91 coaches, 60 club links) imported with WhatsApp, gender and nationality support, and self-declared DBS now correctly maps to pending verification.
- Product feed descriptions no longer carry stray HTML, and "available" now maps to real availability from retailer feeds.
21 August 2026
v3.20260821Communities become a real platform: paid tiers, quests, files, Q&A — plus court sponsorship
What's new
- Communities level up: paid subscriptions with premium posts, member Q&A, shared files, quests, a community map, owner and moderator roles, categories, and a full audit log for moderators.
- Court sponsorship marketplace: venues can offer court sponsorship placements, brands can take them up with staged deals and built-in chat, and sponsored courts list automatically.
- Video arrives: coaches can upload videos (hosted properly, streamed fast), and question answers can be video responses.
- Jobs get smarter: venues can invite open-to-work players directly, team members display on venue pages, and venue Q&A is live.
- Communities management consolidated into tabs (requests, members, questions, files, quests, monetisation, categories, settings, audit) with a persistent right rail.
- Navigation now surfaces creators, the community map and sponsorships.
Fixed
- Claim and add-club flows no longer get stuck on "Submitting…" forever.
- Venue edit now loads the right venue when you have several (it used to load the first assignment regardless of the URL), and switching venues keeps you on the same tab.
- Dead refresh tokens no longer 500 every protected page — expired sessions are treated as logged-out and cleaned up quietly.
13 August 2026
v3.20260813Court pricing done properly, per-court everything, and a fresh face across the app
What's new
- Court pricing module: venues configure member and pay-and-play rates across peak and off-peak, per court type, with timeframes, equipment, booking rules, membership options and peak-period definitions — all shown publicly on venue pages.
- Everything goes per-court: surface, features and brands now edit at the individual court level, and venue-level facts derive automatically from the courts.
- A sitewide refresh: manage screens, claim and add-club flows, coach reviews, brand products, sponsorships and all the list pages move to the new design language.
- Profiles get taglines and 12-photo galleries, communities get a Photos tab, and every gallery opens in a shared lightbox with keyboard navigation.
- Community post comments: members can reply to any post, with member-gated moderation.
- Admin ownership manager: assign, share and remove owners across venues, coaches, industries and retailers — multiple owners supported.
Fixed
- Focus rings now follow rounded corners everywhere instead of drawing rectangles around pill-shaped fields.
- A dead-token edge case that 500'd protected pages for some users is handled silently.
- Stripe checkout unblocked on the court pricing flow, and claim notifications now actually send to the team.
- The country index was silently capped at 1,000 rows and hiding most countries — fixed, all of them show.
7 August 2026
v3.20260807Roadmap voting, a fresh coat of paint, and friendlier sign-in
What's new
- Roadmap — you pick what we build next. Every member gets 5 votes each month, anyone can put an idea forward, and the board resets on the 1st. Top-voted ideas get planned, built and shipped publicly — with a "You voted, we shipped" strip closing the loop.
- Magic-link sign-in: the login modal now offers "Email me a link instead" — one tap in your inbox signs you in, no password needed.
- Player passports rebuilt: a Crest tier rail shows exactly where you sit from Iron to Sovereign and how far the next tier is, plus a match record, squad list with tier chips, and a "Joined" date.
- Communities rebuilt: the index gets live member counts and player/venue filters; community pages get a proper home — feed, composer, upcoming events, members list and house rules in one place.
- Crest + company pages redesigned: How Crest works, the integrity ladder, rankings, About, Ethos, the developer portal and the pricing index all share the new look. The pricing index now shows live club counts per country.
- Padel glossary redesigned with an A–Z letter rail and a live filter — find "vibora" in two keystrokes.
Fixed
- Password reset links that landed you on the homepage with no explanation. A dead or already-used link now opens the sign-in modal in reset mode with a clear "request a fresh one" prompt.
- City pages for place names shared across countries (Worcester UK vs South Africa, and friends): every city now has a country in its URL, old links redirect automatically, and ambiguous names get a country picker.
- Team photos on the About page showed a broken-image placeholder when a headshot file was missing — they now fall back to initials.
- Mobile navigation is now sticky and gains a search button, quick links, and a proper account header when you're signed in.
2 August 2026
v3.20260802Mobile audit + media uploads
Fixed
- Avatar and other media uploads that were failing to reach storage — profile photo, venue photos, and other uploads now save reliably.
- Venue owners: the manage → edit page no longer gets stuck on "Loading…" when opening a venue you own.
- Manage-your-venue form on mobile: Opening Hours rows overflowed the viewport, tap targets on the tab strip were too small, and the Court Layout − / + spinner buttons + Save buttons were below the recommended touch size — all corrected.
- Top navigation overflowed the viewport at tablet widths (around iPad portrait).
- Analytics dashboard chart cards overflowed their column on narrow screens.
- Ten admin tables that clipped columns on mobile now scroll horizontally inside their card.
- Server error responses now include useful context instead of generic placeholders.
What's new
- Venue owners: unclaimed venues now show a proper "Claim this venue" CTA on the venue page — a card in the sidebar on desktop and a slim banner on mobile, replacing the small sideways ribbon that used to sit off to the side.
- Admin: Add-record buttons on the Coaches, Providers, Leagues, and Jobs directories — quick-create a new row with the minimum fields, then fill out the rest on the detail page. Jobs post on behalf of a specific venue or coach.
- Public player profiles: players who exist but haven't earned a Crest yet now get a real profile page — avatar, handle, country, external ratings, and working Follow / Add to Squad / Ping buttons — with a "No Crest yet" strip in place of the Crest section. Squad-linking and social flows continue to work without a Crest. Private / minor accounts still show the "This profile is private" card.
- Partner discount codes: the admin add-partner form was returning "Server error" because the underlying table hadn't been migrated. Table now live; adding discount codes works end-to-end.
- Venue images: 1,198 venues had file-extension mismatches between the database and R2 storage (a legacy WordPress image-optimisation plugin had converted PNGs to JPGs mid-migration). Every mismatched row corrected; images that used to 404 now render correctly. A safety net now falls back to the gradient card on any remaining broken image, so no venue detail page shows an empty image box.
- City / county / country / group pages: FAQ answers, intros and meta text now support live placeholders (“{{ court_count }}”, “{{ venue_count }}”, “{{ name }}”) that resolve to current numbers at request time. Existing text passes through unchanged; new AI-regenerated copy uses placeholders so the numbers stay accurate as venues are added.
Improved
- Retired the old static "TP" placeholder from 6,349 venue cards. Venues without a real photo now show the clean gradient card with the venue name instead.
- Sortable column headers on every admin table — click any column to sort ascending / descending / cleared.
1 August 2026

- Padel Feed rebranded to "Padel Feed" (two words) throughout display strings.
Improved
