The surrounding area offers a scenic, semi-rural setting while remaining well connected to the capital.

How many padel courts does it have?

Hatton Sports Club has one outdoor padel court. There are no indoor padel courts at the venue, so matches take place on an outdoor surface. This single court is part of a broader racket sports offering that includes tennis, squash and racketball, making it a compact but versatile facility for padel players.

What facilities are available?

Hatton Sports Club offers padel, tennis, squash and racketball. The venue also has a licensed bar, a historic first for a Scottish tennis club back in 1963. As a members' club, it provides a social atmosphere alongside its sporting facilities. Outdoor padel is the main attraction, with the other racket sports available for members and guests.

How much does it cost to play?

Guest padel rates at Hatton Sports Club are £6.50. Members play padel for free, with no additional court fee. Hatton Sports Club in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a welcoming multi-sport venue with one outdoor padel court, plus tennis, squash and racketball facilities. This single padel court makes it an intimate option for players looking for a friendly, community-focused club rather than a large padel centre. The club operates on a pay-and-play basis for non-members, with guest rates starting at £6.50, while members can play padel for free.

Set in the grounds of the historic Hatton House, the club has deep roots in the local area; it was the first tennis club in Scotland to hold a licensed bar back in 1963. Today, it remains an active and social club, bridging traditional racket sports with the rapidly growing game of padel. Because the court is outdoors, play is seasonal and weather-dependent, so check the club’s schedule before booking.
